Playing Catch Up

It's been two weeks since my last post and so much has happened, I'm almost too overwhelmed to do a blog entry. But, I want to share and it also helps me to remember everything.

Last weekend, we went on our first roadtrip to Nashville to hang out with my lifelong friends, affectionately called the Goober Gang. It was our annual crafting weekend. My "craft" was Liam. He ended up getting sick Saturday afternoon and spiking a high fever. Poor little man didn't feel well at all. Cried all the way home from Nashville. It was hard. For both of us (and Paige, too, who rode from Nashville to Madison with us).

(the cold cloth was to help his fever)

He had roseola, which is a virus that starts with a fever spike and ends in a rash all over his body. He missed school Monday - Wednesday. JJ and Meme were the sweetest grandmothers and came and kept him during the days.

Last Wednesday, he tried rice cereal for the first time and wasn't a big fan. Ultimately, he ended up throwing it all up over the floor. We'll try again in a couple of weeks.

Liam was back at school on Thursday and was so glad to see his friends. Here he is with John Marshall riding shotgun in the bye bye buggy.
His sleeping has made TREMENDOUS strides, even without rice cereal to get him through the night. Friday night, he slept 10 hours straight! Most nights he is just getting up once to eat. We are so grateful!

We've also been doing some socializing...

Visiting with Uncle Mike who came for a visit from Jacksonville, FL...

Hanging out with the girls at Cindy's... He's perfecting his flirting and can really perform. He showed the girls how he can roll over and then told them all some very interesting and funny stories with his baby babble. He was pretty fired up about some of his stories.

Special time with Aunt Anita before she leaves to pursue her doctorate in Norfolk, VA...

Playing Horsey with Allison, Joel and Madeline while Will and I went to some friends' home Saturday night.

Having fun with Gradie Sunday night.

Developmentally, he's changing almost daily. He loves to watch TV, even though he's not supposed to, he will contort his body any way he can in order to get a glimpse.

He must also always have something in his mouth...most preferably his fingers. We think he must be teething.

He's reaching and grasping at things intentionally now. He laughs and laughs and is such a happy baby. More to come...
