- Liam loves balloons. A year ago, he had the same obsession and we would have never dreamed that he would still love balloons so much. There are many nights we have to pry balloons out of his hands after he's gone to sleep.
- He calls himself "Miam" and most frequently likes to say "Miam do it." He's very independent and insists on doing things himself
- His favorite foods are JJ's "sketti", green beans, yogurt, cereal, bananas, fruit snacks, goldfish, apples, apple sauce, eggs (especially when they're prepared with ham and cheese) and pizza
- He loves music and sings his blessing "God our Father" with great gusto! He also likes to sing the ABC's, Row, Row, Row your Boat and E - I - O (Old McDonald)
- Bedtime and naptime can be a real bear. But, we're on the right road and Liam is going to bed and taking naps much more cooperatively these days
- He loves Elmo and Blues Clues. He also likes to watch the Cat in the Hat and Super Why in the mornings. His buddies at school loves Mickey Mouse and he likes him, too. He also knows who Thomas the Tank Engine is and Dora. Where he learns all this, I don't know!
- He finally figured out his colors - took a little bit of work, but now he does great
- He can count to 10, but usually leaves out either 7 & 8 or 5 & 6.
- He loves to say his prayers at night and thanks God for all kinds of things. He also likes to use it to drag out not having to go to bed. When we're dong and say "A-men" he says, "more prayer." We will usually thank God for a few more things, but then it's bedtime!
- His favorite toys to play with are balls, blocks, and trucks. He loves to draw, especially balloons. He also loves to play outside and help Daddy with yard work.
- He's starting to help some around the house. He does love to run the vaccuum! He also is great about throwing things in the trash and helping pick up messes.
- He loves Walker and likes to help feed him every day. He also gives him a lot of commands like "mon walker" (c'mon, Walker) and no, no.
- He is speaking in sentences quite bit and is particulary good at repeating what we say.
- He enjoys his bathtime with all his toys and likes his water cold. By the time it's time to get out, his teeth are usually chattering.
- He is very particular about brushing his teeth and putting toothpaste on the toothbrush himself, several times. He also likes to turn the water off and on and rinse his brush. He doesn't like to really brush his teeth, mostly just suck the toothpaste and water off the brush.
- He's quite the cuddle bug, especially with Mommy and gives lots of sweet hugs and kisses. He loves to say "Mommy, hold you" which is pretty irresistable.
- He loves his buddies at school and calls them all by name. He can also recognize all their parents!
- He's good at sharing when he's asked and giving another child his turn. He's easy to redirect.
- He loves to read. Most days when I pick him up from school he's sitting at the table with a book. He also reads books to us, especially the books we've read so many times he's memorized them.
- He had his 2-year check-up today and his stats are: 37 1/2 inches tall and 31 pounds. He's a healthy growing boy!

2 Year Milestone Report
My sweet friend Susan (a.k.a. John Marshall's mom) is a mom I greatly admire for many reasons, but one thing she does so well is keep her blog updated and keep track of John Marshall's milestones and happenings. So, I'm going to use her 2-year update as a template and chronicle Liam's milestones and what's going on with him at 2 years:
