Bark, Balls and Bellies

Liam is a busy bee these days and with the spring weather, he is so excited to spend so much time outside.

When I picked him up from school on Tuesday, Ms. Gwen had him at the sink washing his hair out. He had bark ground into his scalp. He loves mashing his food in his hair, so why should bark be any different? We had to scrub and scrub that night to get it out.

The next morning when Will was changing his dirty diaper, there was bark in his poop. That's my boy!

Yesterday we had his 15 month check-up and when Dr. Gilbert was checking his privates, he had dirt all in his diaper. (BTW, great check-up; 26 lbs 9 oz at 80th percentile and 33 1/2 inches long at 95th percentile; healthy little man)

I love it, he is just filthy after school and so happy.

Liam's absolute favorite thing in the world is a ball. We can play forever outside just with a ball. His favorite game is throwing the ball down the hill between us and Mr. Randy's house and watching it land in the bushes. It's a pretty steep hill, so he and mama walk down the hill together (or sometimes slide) and mama gets the ball and throws it back up the hill into our driveway. Then we walk up the hill and start all over again. and again. and agan.

He also loves his belly and is quite proud to show it to you and rub on it.
Here's a cute video of Liam and two of his favorite things:

He has a few animal sounds he's learned to say. If you listen closely, you can hear him say "ruff ruff" (which really sounds like Ugh! Ugh!) for a dog, "roar" for a tiger, and a kind of spitting sound for a cow's "moo."
