Paige, Laura, me, and April.
Friends since 6th grade. That's 23 years of friendship. And we think it's pretty awesome.
We were friends through middle and high school and each of us headed off different directions to college after graduation. We kept in touch and for our 30th birthdays, we decided to take a trip together for a Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Spa Getaway in Chattanooga. Since then, we've been getting together twice a year - once in April for a full-on crafting weekend (yes, we really are goobers) and once in the fall for some kind of trip or vacation.
This year, we went to the Stowe Away and even let the hubbies come.
I feel pretty lucky to have these amazing women in my life. These are friends who are sisters to me who have seen me go through all the major stages of life - from getting my period to my first kiss to my wedding to now my baby. And they offer complete unconditional love and acceptance. They offer me humor and laughter and an opportunity to laugh at myself. They give me encouragement, prayer, and support in tough times.
This is much more of a sappy blog than I usually post, but I'm feeling particularly grateful and undeserving of having such phenomenal women in my life who inspire and encourage and motivate me to be my authentic self...they know me from the inside out and still love me and I love them for every part of who they are.
