Catch up

Many things to catch up on in the 3 weeks hiaitus taken from blogging.
Baptism
On June 28, Liam was baptized at Highlands United Methodist Church. This was such a special day and Will and me a very special opportunity to reflect on our precious blessing and what an amazing gift from God he is. It also left us in a bit of awe to the responsibility we have as parents. While this service was a sacred ritual of the church to baptize him into the family of God, it was also a public ceremony where we promised, in front of friends, family and witnesses, to raise him in a Christian home. He was a perfect angel all day long and so it wasn't hard to make that promise, even though we know it's not always going to be an easy task. After church and the family brunch, he was worn out and looked so precious sleeping. Man, he just melts my heart.

4th of July!!
Was a great weekend. Full of family, friends and LOTS of eating. Uncle Mike came and we all got to meet Bethany, which was fun. The Lowery's joined us and Gradie was sweet, sweet as usual to Liam. Liam did NOT like the boat ride this weekend and we think it's mostly because he was squished up in all his gear.

Sick
This week Liam was home sick with a virus. Pittiful - fever, snotty. He was so congested he could hardly eat because he kept choking. Liam is doing much better now. Sweet little man, even while he's sick, he's still smiling and so good. Popaw came on Wednesday to help out so I could get some work done. Popaw is in Decatur all by his bachelor self since Meme is in Denver helping out with sweet new little Annabel Leslie. So, I think it was a win-win all around for him to come to the 'Ham to help take care of Little Man.

Funny Man

Liam is now 7 months old! So hard to believe that he's over half-way to his first birthday. He makes us laugh on a daily basis. One of the more interesting things he is doing now is when we are holding him up he likes to put his hand on the back of our head and run his fingers through our hair. It cracks me up every time he does it. Of course, this is just moments before he dives into my hair to take a bite.

He also likes to sleep with his tushy sticking up in the air. Auntie Bessie calls this a "tushy tower." So cute.
